Employment options and career development in the Cascade area are available in many professions. Ranching and logging have always been major industries in the area and to this day continue to be valuable sources of employment.
The National Forests and local communities continue to provide a large number of government jobs at many levels. Currently among the largest employers in the area are the Payette and Boise National Forests, which offer career opportunities in forest management and many other areas. With two hospitals and several medical clinics in the region, the healthcare field also offers excellent chances for employment.
